I'm using the samba4 internal DNS.  It would be handy if the DNS supported aging and scavenging.  At the moment my clients change IPs regularly, and there's about a 50% chance that the DNS record points to the wrong client at any given time.

Would there be a workaround if I used the BIND client?

Have you updated to 4.0.7? Bug 9559 pertained to invalid dynamic DNS records and was resolved in version 4.0.7.

Bug #10812 was fixed for 4.9.0
