If wbinfo is tweaked in order to avoid bug 6617 querying users and groups in samba do not work.

ie. wbinfo -p works 
but wbinfo -u gives 
"Error looking up domain users"

In the logs on the server this messages appear:
cmd_list_users_recv_domain called
list_users_recv called
wb_cmd_list_users_recv called
Failed to setup credentials for account TEST$: NT_STATUS_UNSUCCESSFUL

Which wbinfo and which winbind server is that? The error output looks like this is a S4 winbind, are you running an S4 wbinfo?

Yes it's a wbinfo4 with a s4 server, once I tweaked the code to make it point to the good pipe.

It seems that something was rotten in my samba4 provision, a freshly provisionned s4 just work ...
