Have not determine why this happens, but smb just "panics" and then all shares are not accessible. I have to go to the machine and execute smbd as root. Then the shares are available. please retest against 3.0.11. I'm pretty sure this is fixed. Or you could probably just apply the printing patch at http://samba.org/~jerry/patches/post-3.0.9/ Installing 3.0.11 is the recommended solution.
