Description Thomas Simmons 2012-11-26 13:10:14 UTC
When I attempt to promote a Windows Server to an AD DC + DNS server of the domain "testdom.com" or "testdom.local", I receive the message:

The number of DNS servers registered as authoritative name servers for this domain could not be determined. Error: The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect.

If I do the same for "testing.testdom.com" or "internal.testdom.com", I do not receive this error.
