Description Carsten Menke 2004-01-04 15:38:09 UTC
As far as I know, if you remove a machine from the domain on a WindowsNT 4 PDC,
it removes also the machine from it's registry/database.

So also to tidy up the system running samba, I would love to see a "delete
machine script parameter" in the config file, so that machines which are to be
renamed or to be removed from the Domain don't sit any longer in /etc/passwd and
in passdb.tdb files.

This should just be the delete user script. We don't distinguish between
users and machines in delete_domain_user() IIRC.

Aha, and how do I know that a machine should be deleted ? I have a delete user
script but, it does not remove machine names from /etc/passwd, apparently the
delete user script is not called when a machine is removed from the domain.

So I would propose -> Reopen
