The following error occured while updating from samba-2.2.7a-7.9.0 to samba-3.0.1-2:

error: %postun(samba-2.2.7a-7.9.0) scriptlet failed, exit status 1

my understanding is that this is a problem in RH's 
RPM, when trying to upgrade to the RPMS from samba.org.
The standard practice is to remove the RPMS from one 
vendor and the install the RPM from the new vendor
(after backing up your config files of course).
