install.html omits mentioning the user must enable /dev/pts filesystem
(both devices and the filesystem) and mount it prior starting samba.
Otherwise, during changing password, smbd will crast with "can't create
master/slave pty".

Install assumes you have a decent basic POSIX system installed. /dev/pts is 
part of that. Also, I think /dev/pts only has to be present if utmp support is 
enabled.
