Description Christian Ambach 2012-04-17 11:32:14 UTC
With kernel oplocks being a global option only, users cannot benefit from Level 2 Oplocks on Linux (and IRIX) when the have a mixture of shares that require cross-protocol oplock breaks or not.

Would be better to make this option share-specific

Comment 2 Volker Lendecke 2012-04-17 12:19:59 UTC
This is a new feature. I don't think we should put new features into 3.6 and put that into the next major release.
Comment 3 Volker Lendecke 2012-04-18 08:06:24 UTC
That's a new feature that should not go into a stable release I think.
Comment 4 Christian Ambach 2013-01-11 15:18:50 UTC
Was fixed with Samba 4.0
