I 'm runig Samba client 2.2.8 on

I have problem with large files >2GB :
Viewed from Windows 2000server - files looks like:

Viewed from Linux RH - using the Samba client ( as a mount point to the
Win2K.) the same file look like so

Sorry, but the 2.2 is not under development any longer.
If you can reproduce this bug against the latest 3.0 release,
please reopen this bug and change the version in the report.
Thanks.

I upgrade the samba client from 2.2 to 3.0 version and the problem with file large
> 2GB is still there, so the only solution s to stay way from samba and go with
NFS client and Humingbird Maestro

are you referring to smbfs or smbclient ? There are patches
for large file support in smbfs. You might also want to
look at the cifsvfs in the 2.6 kernel.

Note that smbfs is not part of Samba. We only provide
some user space helpers to mount the fs. The internals
of the kernel fs don't belong to us.
