Description Raphael Berghmans 2003-12-09 06:03:39 UTC
Hi,

I've a Samba-3.0.0 file server on NT4 domain using winbind to resolve groups
and users.

Next this domain, I've configured a Samba-3.0.0 PDC for a new domain. I've
configure a interdomain trustrelationship between the two domains.

On the Linux File Server, wbinfo -m recognize directly the trusted domain.
wbinfo -g show me the groups for the two domains and wbinfo -u show me the
users for the two domains, getent passwd show me the mapping between SID and
UID for every users for the two domains. But getent groups show me only the
mapping for the normal domain not for the trusted domain.

I found this in winbindd.log :

[2003/12/09 14:50:21, 0] nsswitch/winbindd_group.c:winbindd_getgrent(775)
could not lookup domain group CHC.BE\WARRcmRES

and

[2003/12/09 15:09:55, 1] nsswitch/winbindd_group.c:fill_grent_mem(120)
could not lookup membership for group rid
S-1-5-21-4233713302-3525667066-1156429822-3735 in domain CHC.BE (error:
NT_STATUS_NO_SUCH_GROUP)

Thank you
