Hi All !

All usual windows backups [made from "Windows Server 2008 R2"] to
a linux share [samba, 3.5.6] are working fine, but if one make
any backups involving the so call bare components, the backup
fails [error: The backup operation that started at '‎2011‎-‎11‎-‎21T00:13:53.538422000Z' has failed with following error code '2155347997' ((The operation ended before completion.)].

So far I understand this issue, the mentioned ioctl does not appear
in "usual backup" [so far not in the machine log of the smbd], but
appear, when the bare components are included.

Any help would be really great!
Thanks and
br++mabra

Hi list,

I see the same error on a file server (samba-3.5.11, ucs-3.01) under heavy load running shares for Windows 7 64bit clients. I've neither an idea where this error comes from nor if it is important or not. If it is not impportant it would be nice to put these messages in an higher debuglevel (>=2).

Regards
Stephan
