I am trying to set permanent entries in my wins.dat using this info: http://www.samba.org/samba/docs/man/Samba-HOWTO-Collection/NetworkBrowsing.html#id2584250 .

However the hosts defined this way are updated with a TTL diferent from 0 after a while. Even the permanent bit (0x2) is cleared.

I have found this post on samba mailing list from 2007 that well describes my problem:

However I haven't found in the later 3.4.12 sources anything that could help to set samba server in 'Migrate Off' mode.
