Description Marc Kaplan 2003-11-25 00:45:03 UTC
Using Andrew Bartlett's ntlmv2 session security patch I successfully connect
to the samba server in all variations of ntlmminclientsec, except when 56 bit
encryption was required. 128 bit encryption worked fine, however.

In order to set this, use regedit on your win2k box, and modify:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\control\LSA\MSV1_0
\ntlmminclientsec to 0x80020000. This requires ntlm2 session security and 56-
bit session security encryption. Though, I also noticed that simply setting
this to 0x80000000 makes it so that I cannot connect to my Samba server.

Is this still valid? Certainly I don't think it's a build problem.

This is working now I think. Closing.

sorry for the same, cleaning up the database to prevent unecessary reopens of bugs.
