Hi,

I would like to see change b9835a1f9d8b81 cherry-picked into samba-3.5.x, since it fixes RedHat EL 4 builds for me.

(see #7209 for discussion)

as just discussed on phone this might have side effects on other systems, thus a backport for 3.5 might not be a good idea in the stable release branch.
