Description Igor Zhbanov 2010-08-04 15:15:08 UTC
Hello!

When you run autoconf in source3 directory, you will see this:

/usr/bin/m4:configure.in:23: cannot open `pkg.m4': No such file or directory
/usr/bin/m4:samba4.m4:4: cannot open `build/m4/public.m4': No such file or directory
/usr/bin/m4:samba4.m4:40: cannot open `lib/smbreadline/readline.m4': No such file or directory
/usr/bin/m4:samba4.m4:41: cannot open `heimdal_build/internal.m4': No such file or directory
/usr/bin/m4:samba4.m4:51: cannot open `lib/socket/config.m4': No such file or directory
/usr/bin/m4:samba4.m4:137: cannot open `lib/tls/config.m4': No such file or directory
/usr/bin/m4:samba4.m4:138: cannot open `torture/libnetapi/config.m4': No such file or directory
/usr/bin/m4:samba4.m4:141: cannot open `auth/gensec/config.m4': No such file or directory
/usr/bin/m4:samba4.m4:142: cannot open `smbd/process_model.m4': No such file or directory
/usr/bin/m4:samba4.m4:143: cannot open `ntvfs/posix/config.m4': No such file or directory
/usr/bin/m4:samba4.m4:144: cannot open `ntvfs/unixuid/config.m4': No such file or directory
/usr/bin/m4:samba4.m4:145: cannot open `auth/config.m4': No such file or directory
/usr/bin/m4:samba4.m4:146: cannot open `kdc/config.m4': No such file or directory
/usr/bin/m4:samba4.m4:147: cannot open `ntvfs/sysdep/config.m4': No such file or directory
autom4te: /usr/bin/m4 failed with exit status: 1

So it is impossible to rebuild configure.
I have tried it on several modern distros, but the story is the same.

Please try ./autogen.sh in source3 instead of direct autoconf.
