Description Pasquale 2010-08-03 01:15:24 UTC
Hello,

I installed Samba 3.5.4 on my Synology DS210j and activated smb2.
As I create a new Folder on Windows 7 64 bit accessing the NAS, an error appears telling, that the filesize is exceeding the volume capacity.
The Folder has been created, but with a default name "new Folder". I cannot rename it. This happens also with every other filetype.

Kind regards

Pasquale

The SMB2 support in 3.5.x is a bit buggy. Can you try and reproduce this with the 3.6.x git tree instead ? Please re-open if this is still a problem.

I'm pretty sure this one is fixed in the v3-6-test branch.

Jeremy.

Hi Jeremy,

Thanks. I cannot find the correct installation package for my "synology 210j".
http://ipkg.nslu2-linux.org/feeds/optware/cs08q1armel/cross/stable/
I the tried to compile it on the NAS but my gcc faild with the "as" Assembler. I cannot manage to make it work.
Can you provide me a ipk-Package for my synology 210j. I would really appreciate.
Kind regards
Pasquale

smb2 in 3.5 was not stable yet, later versions have well working smb2 support
