Patch attached; my primary motivation for this patch is to be able to disable stripping of ccache in "make install" (I wouldn't particularly mind if the -s flag to install was simply dropped instead of applying this patch).

Fixed in 763d2d389f4497b5e17f3cc416735b28a6c30e3d by removing -s from the installation command.
