When "make install" is run on a QNX system without xsltproc, it doesn't build the manual pages but does try to install them, which fails with the following error message:

 ./install-sh -c -d /man1
 mkdir: /man1: Permission denied
 make: *** [installdocs] Error 1

I'll attach a patch shortly which fixes this problem.

I somehow have the feeling that it's not the case anymore, if you don't have xsltproc or if pages are not built then it won't fail.

Can you recheck ?

Probably fixed in the waf build.

A re-check was requested in 2013, to which there was no reply.
