I've noticed that some programs (like gqview or xmms2) cannot see the contents of the mounted shares after upgrade from linux-2.6.30 to linux-2.6.31 (also valid for 2.6.32 from ubuntu lucid repo).

I have smbfs-3.4.2-1ubuntu1 (mount.cifs version: 1.12-3.4.2), linux-image-2.6.32.4.4

smbfs is dead, Linux SMB fs is now cifs.
