Description Nik Conwell 2009-08-27 08:48:57 UTC
smbspool to windows 2003 and 2008 server result in jobs with titles "Remote Downlevel Document". The job and data is valid and everything prints just fine.

Packet traces show smbspool doing Open AndX Request with Open Function: 0x0012 with a File Name of the appropriate title. Conferring with Microsoft Tech, this File Name in the open is just being ignored. They expect either additional "spooler calls with the information about the file" or SMB2 which is a Vista thing; "a graduation from SMB + spooler calls."

Please update smbspool to "do the right thing". Possibly you're hard at work on SMB2 in which case this would probably just work correctly.

Thanks.

That should be related to s3.

So is this fixed in Samba 3.6? And if not, any estimate of when it might be?

Test with 3.6.6. If it doesn't work send network traces and reopen the bug.
