I am pretty sure this works in the latest samba versions. Please test with a supported version, 3.0.x has been EOL for years now.

Sorry I should have said "marked for EOL". We are not applying anything more than security fixes since 3.3.0 got out, and final EOL is for 3.4.0 which is extremely close.
