Description Alvin 2009-06-24 06:53:01 UTC
(Samba version 3.0.33 on Solaris 10)

The command:
# pdbedit -r -U "S-1-5-21-1064376192-3118105989-567471950-1448" <username>
is not working. User SID does not change to the given value.

Output of the above command is the same as:
# pdbedit -Lv <username>

I am pretty sure this works in the latest samba versions.
Please test with a supported version, 3.0.x has been EOL for years now.

... for certain definitions of EOL :-)

We will definitely EOL it by the release of 3.4, but Simo is right that 3.0 has not seen any significant feature improvements for very long now.

Sorry I should have said "marked for EOL".
We are not applying anything more than security fixes since 3.3.0 got out, and final EOL is for 3.4.0 which is extremely close.
