Description dw6881pr 2009-06-23 15:46:18 UTC
To join windows 2008 DC, when I use the following syntax:
net ads join -w workgroup -U user%password -S server

I get the following error:
libads/sasl.c:ads_sasl_spnego_bind(330)
kinit succeeded but ads_sasl_spnego_krb5_bind failed: Server not found in Kerberos database

the above usage syntax works fine with 2000 and 2003 DC.
Comment 1 dw6881pr 2009-06-23 16:11:03 UTC
the failure only occurs if -S TARGET_IP is specified
it works with -S TARGET-NAME

sorry for the lack of feedback, I think this is not a generic issue any more, if you see an ussue with 4.13 or later, then please file a new bug report for that.
