Description John H Terpstra (mail address dead( 2003-10-18 13:28:34 UTC
The net command does not allow a password to be entered via redirection.
We have had requests from admins to fix this as they perceive this to be a
security risk.

We make use of the 'getpass' function. Requests have been received to
permit input for this also to be done by way or redirection.

closing as later. Unless jht wants to work on it.

Later is OK so far as I am concerned. When I posted this bug it was a hot issue
for one of our users. Anyone who sees this as a 'got-to-have-now' feature
should speak up.
