Description Keith Gilliam 2009-05-27 10:31:13 UTC
I have successfully completed installation, but when I attempt to login to samba using the GUI through my mozilla brower I receive the following error:

"(Server requested LANMAN password (share-level security) but 'client lanman auth' is disabled
tree connect failed: SUCCESS - 0"

Ok, so you have security=share and the default of client lanman auth=false. Switching this to true should solve the problem. The default changed a few revisions back.

Is this by any chance happening when you run "smbclient -L hostname"?

Cheers,
Bill

Marking bug as invalid as it seems to be a configuration issue.
Please re-open if it's still an issues after the configuration changes.

Thanks!
