Description Patrick Rynhart 2009-05-13 23:39:49 UTC
Hi,

Users using a Windows Vista / 7 client to log into a trusted domain via a Samba 3.3.4 PDC don't appear to get their logon script executed. We have tested the behaviour with Windows XP and can confirm that the script (on the trusted domain) runs. Note this is not an issue with the local domain, i.e. the logon script is correctly executed by Windows Vista / 7 clients in this case.

Please find a debug level 10 log attached during a Windows 7 domain login to a trusted domain.

Regards,

Patrick

Closing for now - will test using Samba 3.4.X.
Comment 3 Björn Jacke 2011-01-13 10:08:33 UTC
reopening this one as it is still valid.

The problem is that interactive logon requests from clients need to be forwarded also as interactive sam logon requests to the corresponding domain controller.

I experience the exact same issue, but with Windows XP clients (and samba 3.5.6 on the server side).

Bug still present in 3.5.8
Comment 8 Björn Jacke 2011-03-22 14:08:19 UTC
I think more logs are currently not required - the problem is quite clear, see comment #3. It's just difficult to fix. :-|
