Description Dr.Mabin 2009-04-18 14:11:36 UTC
I'm Debian User.

I could logon to Samba 3.0.24-6etch10 with WM5/6(PDA).
Its security option is user

Lately, Debian Linux is updated that version name is Lenny.
I updated my os and Samba is updated to 3.2.5-4lenny2.

then, I couldn't logon samba server.

When I checked samba log, samba couldn't get Username correctly.
It skiped last one character.
(Exam : When I input 'family' to username, Samba get 'famil')
so, I tried to input one more charactor and input password correctly.
(Exam : Username 'family' -> 'familyy')
Samba passed Username Check correctly, but it didn't pass password check.
maybe samba skiped last one data in password, too.

Please upload network traces from both 3.0.24 and 3.2.5. Information on how to create network traces can be found on

http://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Capture_Packets

Thanks,

Volker
