Description Dave Kimberley 2003-10-13 08:48:53 UTC
I have set up Samba 3 as a PDC on a Solaris machine.

I have added a Windows XP machine to the domain and I have added a user, no
problems.

I can log on to the XP machine and everything works apart from access to the
local Oracle install directory on the XP machine, where I get an "Access is
denied" message. The relevant permissions on that directory are "Read & Execute"
for "Authenticated Users" but Samba does not seem to authenticate the user.

I can change the permissions on the directory to allow "everyone" read access
but it would be nice if Samba could authenticate the user.

reseting target milestone. 3.0.1 has been frozen. WIll have to
re-evaluate these.

Tested on 2k and XP against the 3.0.3pre1 source
code from cvs. Created a directeory that was full
access for 'authenticated users' only. Successfully
created a subdirectory.
