Description Tomas Tamm 2008-12-24 02:50:13 UTC
After starting smbd samba works fine for about one day or more. Then in log.smbd a crash is detected:

*** glibc detected *** /usr/sbin/smbd: double free or corruption (!prev): 0x0000555555c9b570 ***

After this everyone who is logged on can work till logged off. Nobody can log on.

Afer restart of smbd everything is ok (for 24 hours ..)

Detecting memory problems like this can be quite tricky. Can you try running smbd under valgrind and see if you can reproduce the problem ? That should give us a much better idea of where the problem lies.
Thanks,
Jeremy.
