Description mchugh19@yahoo.com 2008-09-16 10:08:47 UTC
Running samba 3.2.3 on solaris 10, it looks like winbind is choping off the domain name. I can lookup a user with "wbinfo -i 'NAU-STUDENTS\mcm75'" but when I attempt to connect as that user from windows I get prompted for a username and password. In log.wbinbindd I see an entry for

[2008/09/16 22:04:01, 5] winbindd/winbindd_user.c:getpwnam_name2sid_recv(422)
Could not lookup name for user ENTS\mcm75

Which is obviously not right.

Comment 3 mchugh19@yahoo.com 2008-09-16 12:59:28 UTC
Yep. Copied it at right after the install.

Like another bug, I've been unable to recreate this after a fresh build. This can be closed.
