Description Andreas Boeckler 2003-09-30 10:55:04 UTC
cvs checkout onto a network drive fails (the repo itself is accessed over ssh)
from a windows2000 client:
cvs [checkout aborted]: cannot make directory campus: No such file or directory

I've tested with 4 servers:
- 2 servers with 2.2.8a -> cvs WORKS
- server with 3.0.0beta2 -> cvs WORKS
  after upgrading to 3.0.0 -> cvs FAILS
- server with 3.0.0rc4 -> cvs FAILS
  upgrade to 3.0.0 does no good

It tested it from several clients:
- all windows2000-clients fail
- linux-clients (via smbmount) did work

Did anything change in your configuration?
http://ccvs.cvshome.org/fom//cache/206.html might be relevant for you.

no,

i didn't changed anything file serving specific ( only ADS-stuff ) from 2.2.8 to
3.0.0beta2 (which worked). From 3.0.0beta2 to 3.0.0final I didn't change anything.

By the way. It seems to be fixed in 3.0.1pre1.
