Recent Samba builds for SUSE systems are compiled with support for dmapi.

libdm.so.0 is provided for SUSE systems by the dmapi package.

For a x86 32 bit system it's available from http://ftp.opensuse.org/pub/opensuse/distribution/10.2/repo/oss/suse/i586/dmapi-2.2.5_1-20.i586.rpm or if you prefer to use a software on top of RPM from inside YaST, smart, or yum.

Therefore the dependency is fine.  If I missed your issue please reopen.
