This is caused by missing registry keys.

Can you elaborate on that? What sort of keys are missing?

This key for example:
HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\REPLICATOR\Parameters.

But also the pipe "\repl" seems to be missing/not implemented!

Jelmer, your registry patch was useful and working.
No we have to implement properly the value "Replicate" under the hive "REPLICATOR\Parameters".

Jelmer, I unfortunately doesn't know it, because I saw it only through wireshark. Someone who has a Windows Server Edition (I haven't) should know the right value for it.

Registry patch

Okay, my fault. Since Windows 2000, the "LanMan Directory Replication Service" isn't supported anymore (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/248358). So we've to delete the registry keys and close this topic.
