Description Robert Toole 2003-09-19 09:24:22 UTC
I am using ver 3.0 rc3 with winbind to enumerate users and groups from an NT4
domain.

OS is RedHat 9.0
Kernel is SGI XFS-1.3, 2.4.20-19.9
Hardware:
Quad Pentium pro, 768 Mb RAM
Mylex DAC960 RAID controllers

when I specify an NT 4 group in swat that has a space, I use quotes eg.
@"DOMAIN+Domain Admins" when I click "Commit changes" and then view the
smb.conf file with vi, any of the group entry with spaces are changed like the
following example:

write list = @DOMAIN+Domain, Admins

after the changes take effect, the security on the shares no longer works
properly.

Manually editing smb.conf with vim and placing the quotes arround the group
names with spaces corrects the problem.
