We use Samba 3.0.25b on a Suse 10 system in connection with OpenLDAP used by 25 users. Both SAMBA and OpenLDAP are on the same server. The network connections of our new Vista client have very low throughput. The Samba shares are not usable using the Vista system. The same user has no problems and nice performance when logging in with an XP system. For debugging purposes I attach three zipped log files. All written with log level 10 on the samba system. The first is the log of the log in of the Vista client. The second documents some file explorer operations and the failed start of Thunderbird setup. And has all entries for the shutdown of the Vista client. Any suggestions for increasing the share performance and making the Vista client usable are welcome. Thanks in advance J. Hergeth

Problem solved by waiting. ;-) Performance of WS checked after 4 weeks. System worked perfectly (10 MB/s on 100BT).
