Description Alexander Gottlieb (mail account dead) 2007-06-14 22:17:48 UTC
I've updated Samba 3.0.22 to 3.0.25a (via FreeBSD ports system). And now I can't find any log messages from pam_winbind module.

Before update pam_winbind wrote something like:
/var/log/auth.log:
May 31 11:00:18 relay2 pam_winbind[608]: Verify user `username'
May 31 11:00:18 relay2 pam_winbind[608]: user 'username' granted access
...
May 31 16:02:53 relay2 pam_winbind[610]: request failed: No such user, PAM error was 13, NT error was NT_STATUS_NO_SUCH_USER
... and so on

After update - nothing. Dead silence in /var/log/auth.log.

I use pam_winbind for auth pop3/ipam4/smtp users (cyrus-imapd + cyrus-sasl-saslauthd).

/etc/pam.d/imap, /etc/pam.d/pop3, /etc/pam.d/smtp:
auth sufficient /usr/local/lib/pam_winbind.so debug krb5_auth
auth required pam_unix.so no_warn try_first_pass
account sufficient /usr/local/lib/pam_winbind.so debug

Whats wrong?
