Hi,

bug 4434 is still not fixed (with the .54 RPMs) für SLES9. I observed the problem with Samba 3.0.24-8.1.54-1216-SUSE-SLES9 on SLES9 SP3

The original bug 4434 cannot be opened.

Hi,

I did some further testing. The problem only seems to appear sporadically if the computer accessing the share is NOT a member of the domain !

Any ideas ?

Can you please install the samba-debuginfo package from the same location you got the other Samba packages (sles9/<arch>/).  Please ensure the samba-debuginfo package has the same version and release.  In your case 3.0.24-8.1.54.

Same request as in 4434: Can you please upload debug level 10 logs of such a crash and if possible a valgrind trace of it?
