Description Gael CLAVEYROLAS 2003-09-11 00:19:13 UTC
The default device settings set in the printer driver by a admin printer are
lost when a normal user installs the printer...
So a normal user can't use additional functions like stapler unit, duplex unit,
high capacity tray, etc...

I have the same problem, but I realized that it is there also for administrator
users if they try to print from an application that does not use completely the
native windows printing, i.e. OpenOffice.org

Please retest against 3.0.1pre3 due out tomorrow.
I think this was caused by bug 338.
Comment 3 Gerald (Jerry) Carter (dead mail address) 2003-11-13 12:40:20 UTC
tested latest cvs using NT and 2K clients. All
works as expected. This was probably the same as
bug 338.
Comment 4 Gerald (Jerry) Carter (dead mail address) 2005-02-07 09:06:23 UTC
originally reported against one of the 3.0.0rc[1-4] releases.
Cleaning up non-production versions.
