We recently migrated the Veritas file system to ZFS. We have the problem with the zfs and samba. 

1. The initializing the connection from windows is very slow. Sometimes it took minutes to do it. If the recordsize of ZFS file system was set at 16K or 4k, the initialization process is fast. 

2. The connection between the program in the Windows and samab lost in the middle of the process without any log on the server and samba sides. The program has been used over for years without problem. The error rate in the dev environment is about 10%. Once recordsize was set to 16K, the rate is about 3%.

Therefore, we have to move ZFS to UFS now to run our program with problem.

I donot know it is a bug of Samba or ZFS.At least is that the ZFS and samba could not work properly.

This is quite old. If you see this still with recent ZFS and recent Solaris and recent Samba, please attach log files etc. and reopen the bug. Thanks!
