Looks like SMB trans2 findfirst (level 1) is adjusted for timezone but not SMB query information (command code 8)

This is an ancient bug, and I think we're in decent shape here these days.

What we really ought to do is split off a cifs(5) manpage similar to nfs(5)
and turn mount.cifs(8) into a manpage just for the mount.cifs utility. Still
I'll go ahead and close this bug out since I think it's basically "fixed" now.
