- Samba 3.0.22 server
- ADS security mode
- NOT running winbind
- Domain users work fine, they can map the correct shares
- Local users with the same name from a windows 2000 client system maps to the server, the matching domain user is locked out, no password prompt is ever offered, and the error “\\samba is not accessible.  The referenced account is currently locked out and may not be logged on to.”
- A user with no matching domain account gets a password prompt
- I have tested this with local accounts and with a 

Under Samba 2.2 the user gets a password prompt.

Under windows 2000 and 2003 servers the user gets a password prompt.
