In an environment with limited disk resources (such as an embedded system), it would be very useful if you could configure smbd not to spool the print jobs, but rather send them directly to the "print command" (on a pipe).

Even small jobs might result in very large files when using client-side printer drivers (and thus the contents on in the spool file is raw proprietary printing protocol data).
