Description Dave Fenwick 2003-04-28 14:23:24 UTC
libsmbclient currently does not support any of the RPC functions. It should
support these, enabling third party developers to easily integrate samba into
their existing tools and/or applications.

i think this is more up tpot's alley.

libsmbclient is a library that creates a POSIX like file descriptor interface
for accessing files on a SMB server. The DECRPC client functions implemented by
Samba don't really fall in to this category.

A better idea is a librpcclient or lib{samr, lsa, spoolss, foo} library instead.

Richard Sharpe is the libsmbclient man as he wrote this code. I suspect he will
agree with me though.
