Description Roel van Meer 2006-05-23 06:41:55 UTC
Hi,

it seems we have this bug even with newer versions of samba.

Users are printing from windows XP via samba and cups. Completed print jobs remain visible in the printer queue until one of them is explicitly cancelled. When the max print jobs limit is reached, printing is no longer allowed (but that is expected).

The problem occurs with samba 3.0.20 and 3.0.22 and with cups versions 1.1.23 and 1.2.0, in all combinations. Our build platform is slackware 10.1, with updates.

Thanks,

roel

Is this on an intel platform? Everything works fine for me.
is it only XP clients that are affected?
Comment 2 Roel van Meer 2006-07-06 03:02:50 UTC
Yes, we're on Intel platform.

It happens with XP and 2000 (other versions I do not know.)

It seems that the problem does not occur with samba 3.0.23. I'll verify it in some of our other installations and I'll keep you posted.

The problem is indeed fixed in 3.0.23 and newer versions.
