I did not check whether our user is correct about the default for this setting being "no" so I report this bug as it has been reported in Debian BTS:

Hi,

The man page of smb.conf says that

Default: store dos attributes = yes

This is wrong. This option is at no by default.

Patch to the original XML file

The attached patch to the samba-docs/trunk/smbdotconf/filename/storedosattributes.xml file should fix that minor bug
