Description Thejaswi 2006-04-18 12:35:13 UTC
When we create new folders inside shares the following things were noticed
1. If the parent folder is owned by the current SAMBA users correspoindg UNIX user , then on creating the new folder it is almost visible as is normally expected
2. but if the SAMBA user is just a memeber of UNIX USER GROUP permitted to create sub-folders or files then the SHARE FOLDER is visible only if we refresh windows explorer window (using F5 for example)
similar bug is reported elsewhere but i presume this is something which will take us one step further in packing the SAMBA well and good

I think this current system is working as expected. ong term fix might
be the inotify support work going on currently.

Jeremy, can you confirm and close this bug if so? Thanks.

this works for me. If you can reproduce this with 4.13 more up-to-date version, then please reopen this bug and describe exactly how to reproduce the issue that you see.
