Description Marc Kaplan 2003-08-28 09:04:04 UTC
Late in the 3.0-Alpha series, local groups in /etc/group displayed in this
dialog, but no more as of 3.0.0beta1.

This dramatically reduces the effectiveness of ACLs in workgroup mode.

the only groups which will appear are
those which have a group mapping entry.
This is by design. Same thing with users
(exists in passdb)

Jerry, this is a change in behavior from previous versions that people may not
know about or expect. Is it doccumented?
Comment 3 Gerald (Jerry) Carter (dead mail address) 2005-02-07 09:05:40 UTC
originally reported against one of the 3.0.0rc[1-4] releases.
Cleaning up non-production versions.
