Description Christian Andreetta (dead mail address) 2006-03-21 04:50:54 UTC
nmbd dies with signal 11 (panic) on sparc, just after a couple of seconds from start. Clearing previous caches or tdb doesn't help.
Other platforms don't report this issue (amd64, arm, hppa, ia64, ppc, ppc64, s390, x86).
Note: I'm just a forwarder here, since I don't have a sparc system to test: full details are on gentoo bugzilla: https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=124632

Could it be related to the different network spaces configured in "hosts allow" (192.168.1.* and 127.*), the announce address (192.168.1.255) and the bind interface address (eth1: 112.82...)?

I've seen this working since the bug was reported
