Description Frank 2006-03-03 03:04:17 UTC
Dear Sir,
I am using Fedora core 4 but I cannot run samba.
When running samba, I have the bug below and it stops.
smb failed. The error was: starting SMB services: [FAILED]
starting NMB services: [OK]
by the shell I have this
SMB services /etc/init.d/functions: line 83: 2717 aborded $nice $*.
I would like to enjoy the file sharing but I cannot due to the bug.
Can someone tell me what to do?
I hope it will be solved soon and a new pacth will be provided.

Thank you at once.

Frank

For me this looks like a Fedora issue. Please file at bug in the Fedora bugzilla.
