I'm using winbind to map Active directory users and groups on a linux server.
(debian sarge)


in smb.conf

this works
valid users = DOMAIN+user

but 
valid users = @DOMAIN+group
seems to have no effect

same problem with "write list"

change to version 3.0.21 
problem solved


for debian sarge users : 
add to /etc/apt/source.list

deb http://us3.samba.org/samba/ftp/Binary_Packages/Debian sarge samba 

and update your system
