There some differences on the properties when installing the driver on a W2K print server and a print server running Samba 3.0.20 Driver: HP Color LaserJet 4700 (can be downloaded from the URL specified) Using the APW, the driver is installed successfully into the Samba print server, also, it shows correctly when running the 'rpcclient enumdrives' call. On a W2k server, there are 3 different print processors (HPZPP41a, ModiPrint and WinPrint). In the 'Printing default' windows, it shows 6 tabs (Advanced, Paper/Quality, Effects, Finishing, Color and Services). On the Samba print server, there is on 1 print processor (WinPrint) and on the 'Printing default' windows, it only shows only 4 tabs, missing the 'Effects' and 'Services'. I did set the 'Device Modes' by changing the copy count but it does not seem to make the Samba print server showing the same driver properties pages as in the W2K server.
Samba only supports RAW printing. If the driver you installed utilized the UNIDRV.DLL driver or config file, then the missing property sheets require the print processor which means EMF printing. We can't do anything about this right now.
